Can I Finish 52 Books by the End of the Year?

As of tonight, I have read 48 books according to Goodreads. I wonder if I can finish 4 books by the end of 2023.

When I signed up this year for Goodreads Book Challenge I wasn’t real sure if I would actually finish it. I am usually pretty bad at tracking my books. At the beginning of the year, I had switched majors, again LOL, to a business track, so I knew that even trying to finish 25 books would be difficult. However, I felt lead to not take classes and start a blog and work on my own writing. I have also been reading copious amounts of sweet, closed-door rom-coms, essays from satirists, science fiction from authors I hadn’t read before, fantasy books that I revisited and some that I haven’t, a few motivational books and a few non-fiction WWII books. I have been finishing up the year with some serious Christmas books, which as much as I love, I may need a break from. I think I’m dreaming in Christmas movies, haha. I am only 300 pages away from finishing Brandon Sanderson’ s “The Way of the King.” I love Sanderson’s writing, I think of all the books that I have bought, how are the ones that I own the most of. Agatha Christie’s “Hercule Poirot’s Christmas” loaded on Hoopla that I started last week.Who doesn’t love a great mystery at Christmas time, right? I am also reading Kate Winston’s “Single All the Way” that I started earlier today and am already half way through. So far, I am loving it. The way Nate defends Juliet to her own family is so heartwarming. I can’t wait to finish it. Just this past week I got 4 books in the mail that I was really looking forward to reading. Oh, and I am also scheduled to read 2 more Advance Reader Copy books that will come out by the end of December. ” The way You Love Me” by by Michelle Sass Allison will be released later in January. Tricia Goyer’s newest book, “Trust the Stars” is being released later this week. So let me ask you all a question, do you set reading goals? What about guided book challenges, do you follow them or are you a mood reader and just pick books that go with what you feel? I love the idea of a guided book challenge but then I just pick whatever I feel like reading. Would you as my readers like to join me for a ’24 in ’24’ book challenge next year? If so, drop a line and I will create a book printable to help track your reading.

Prayers and Blessings, Becky

I have set the LORD always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth:
my flesh also shall rest in hope. Psalm 16:8-9
